If an IR passing filter (RM100, RM90, R72, etc.) is on the lens of a digital SLR, then infrared light will pass through the viewfinder to the ZigView. If the ZigView does not have an internal IR blocking filter in front of the CMOS sensor, then the ZigView should image IR just fine on the little monitor. Then it will be possible to manually focus a modified digital camera by viewing the IR image. I have written to the manufacturer, and will let you know what I hear. What type of IR filter did you use Nisa? It looks encouraging.biggrin.gif

since the zigview has an IR block filter, let's ask deadpixel to remove it biggrin.gif

Secu-Line has announced a model called the ZigView S2 which will work for infrared photography. It is being tested in Korea at the moment, and should be released in the US in the coming months. So far, the ZigView seems to be the only device on the market like this. It would be possible to attach a tiny monochrome pinhole video camera (which has no internal IR blocking filter) to the viewinder of a digital SLR and send its output to a small micro monitor. But, the ZigView puts all this in a small package. There are some interesting infrared and ultra-telephoto devices at www.infraredvide.com including the extreme infrared Hoya RM100 filter.
