Hi Teerex,
Those are some pretty nice shots. 36_1_11.gif Didn't get to look at it until you showed me the link.

Which FE did you guys use? Was it the Nikkor 10.5 DX?

NICE!

Thanks Nisa.

Ha! Ha! ... No! No! 36_1_6.gif

It was right smack during the middle of lunch and there were about a zillion people crawling around that place. The rain had just stopped and it was boiling hot (humid), if I had lain on the grass someone might have come over to give me CPR. 36_1_25.gif

I had to take this standing up to avoid all the heads in the area.

Cheers

Thanks Ark! redface0.gif

Peleng 8mm? Hmm, if you shoot exclusively in IR, you might consider converting your D70 to an IR camera, but only if you shot exclusively in IR.

I'm toying with the idea of getting a 2nd hand D70 and taking the IR plunge. Then, I'll get a shop to engrave a replacement name plate that says "D70ir" for the front. naughty0.gif

Yep, I've seen this before, sometime back when I was looking for ways to increase the D70's sensitivity to IR.

I was actually thinking of getting it professionally done by a guy who specializes in converting regular SLRs to IR SLRs by replacing the AA IRC filter with an 87 equivalent filter. I'm sure you know that the advantage of this procedure is that firstly, you get to compose and focus as for regular photos, secondly, the IR sensitivity is so high that even at 900nm you can still take a shot in daylight with f/8 @ 1/125 or faster, perfect for portrait and street photography and thirdly, you can use any lens, regardless of its filter size dribble0.gif The disadvantage of course is that you'd only get black & white IR shots.

O well, maybe in a few months time.

Cheers

Yup, I prefer to be able to take IR with false colour effect....
Let us know of the results if you go ahead with the mod naughty0.gif
