Thinking of getting the 350D and wanting to also use it for IR. Any confirmation that it can take color IR other than it's long exposure?

Well I guess you have it in one.... long exposure.

Thats about all I could say that is dissappointing about it .... otherwise, you will get many good and colourfull IR photo's
if you use the Hoya R72 IR filter.

Just be carefull about hot spots with some of the Canon lenses.

Yes, 350D can do IR with the Hoya R72.

But take a look at the EXIF, shutter time 8secs.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll be trying out with the kit lens too. I heard it does have hotspot problem but using a higher f-stop might help, like 4.6-5.2?

Saw the pic but it's B&W? Got any color reference? The shutter speed is horribly long. But I heard ppl going as long as 15-30secs. Some even 60-90secs. Is this true? Would the 20D be better in taking IR pics?

I have been searching to try find some coloured IR shots done with the 300D and the 350D, not successful.

Perhpas Max can advise on the 300D and coloured IR and Panda on the 20D. They both have used those cameras for IR.

I also am looking to do some IR photography with a Canon 350D, I also have a canon D30, which I have read is alot better at capturing the IR range..
