It's a slow day and I was bored with the gloomy weather and I'm feeling a little morbid (cause my favorite aunt just passed away from cancer) and my colleague's collection of HR Gieger toys were close by so...

Only thing is the fingernails are slightly distracting...

IMHO, this is something unique. nicely composed... I think increase DOF will looks better?!?!? Just my thought.

Thanks guys, she was a really nice lady and a great cook. We were actually planning to do a recipe book together, she would cook and I would shoot and do the book's layout but ... O well ...

Anyway about the shot...thanks for the comments and suggestions ... I was also thinking about more DOF and actually did some some shots at f/8 and f/16 but the plastic of the model began to become more obvious so I went back to f/4.

The painted nails ... that's actually supposed to be blood that my colleague painted on. The red burnt out and became completely white. Maybe I should have PSed it away to a duller color.

Funny thing was that my colleague liked the shot so he had it printed on our new HP Photosmart 8750 in boarderless A3 as a poster for his home.
