Tried to go for something different than my usual cemetery shots.
Feedbacks and comments?

The last pic looks errie, like a real woman slowly turned to stone.
Nice color tone.

Your favorite place leh!!! 3 only ??? hammer00.gif Kidding tongue.gif

Something unique using close-up... I like the grainy effect and color, but it creates nice "sepia" tone, created in IR.

What aperture did you use? Did you take the same shots using different aperture (F8, F11..etc)?
IMHO, the DOF is very shallow.... but it has different mood. I like #1...
#1 - Stress on the mouth
#2 - Either make subject sharper or stress on the hands and/or mouth.
#3 - Prefer to be all focus and sharp.

Just my preference and like. biggrin.gif

Cheers!

Ok Andy, here are my 2 bits worth.

All 3 shots, I find a bit too tight. Maybe that'w what you trying this time.

#1 - grain effect is nice and the colour tone appropriate.

#2 - a bit tight, but good framing. I would prefer sharper focus on the baby's face.

#3 - have both mother and child in focus.

If you are wanting a glow effect. Shoot them in focus, then use PS to create the blur and glow on what you don't want to emphasize.

Those are just my constructive opinions as per my preference. sweating.gif But overall good grain and colours.

thanks for the comments...sorry my bad..but i forgot to mention...these are NON-IR pics biggrin.gif
basically shot them all in RAW and post processed.
my other shots...not that nice lah..outta all the statues i took..this batch my fav.

i was mainly shooting ard f2.8 - f4 using a old nikon 55mm macro

#2 i wanted to focus on the child's hand to get 'the feel of a heartbeat' so i used a shallow depth of field.
think i'll play around with diff focus points next time.

#3 yea i also agree its kinda off. doh00000.gif

Thanks!

eh so how..this sunday shooting or not? hammer00.gif

Hmm, the 3 nicest blurry photos I have seen biggrin.gif
Very nice, I like the effect and the mood of the 3 pics smile.gif
For #3, maybe can PS away the object in the center of the shot?
Dennis
I like the 3rd shot but would have preferred the focus on the child and leave the mother OOF or with a soft filter over it.
Max 2.8
I like them!
