scifreaker
hi i'm IR newbie here, just like to know if there were any photo shops selling IR film & processing them? Is the canon 300 & canon 500N suitable for IR? And also is R72 filter suitable to use with canon P&S like A95 to do IR?Roughly what is the cost of the filter & where to get it?
Thanks in advance! dribble0.gif biggrin.gif

I don't think you can get IR film in Singapore. But i am sure u can find it online and get them to mail it to you.

I don't know much about Canon, but then i am sure our Panda bear would be able to help you with that.

R72 filters? can be get from alot of places, most often, I will head to Cathay Photo, but then you better know what size you are getting.

I hope it helps tongue.gif

I would not be so sure as to say that Infra Red film is not available in Singapore.

Try Ruby Photo at Peninsula. They have ready stock of 35mm BnW Infra Red film. Cost just about $10/- per roll.

Save you the trouble of searching and buying on-line and don't know if you will be getting expired film.

Hi, I was told that most SLR camera can. If you look at a remote bulb with a camera with a LCD screen, and press the remote to see some pink light, that means your camera can take infra red pictures. In fact, my colleague heard me saying it and actually use his mobile with camera and look at the remote. Indeed there are nice pink light shinning which are invisible to human eye. Make me wonder if Infra red is actually pink. Hmmm... doh00000.gif

One of the shop told me that R72 IR filter Hoya for 72mm cost $110. So, I believe it will be much cheaper if you need a smaller size filter. SO blessed. ppth0000.gif
