Hi,
did anyone know how to clean the sensor (Nikon D1 CCD) when there is no filter (AA/IRC) anymore???
I let nikon do that and there is still a lot of dust ob the sensor
Hope anyone can help.
Cheers,
Wolfgang
I think you should just bring it back to Nikon and then let them handle the work again and make sure they know that they are not doing the work right....

Nisa,
doesn´t help because nikon austria don´t have a "cleanroom" like in an hospital.
In normally rooms there is so much dust in the air that you will never be able to clean the sensor perfectly.

Wolfgang,
You might consider putting a piece of clear glass filter instead of leaving it without any protection. The CCD, being an electronic device, is a "magnet" for dust particles.

Hi Matt,
thats exactly what I don´t want to do. Sharpness is suffering in case you put a glass in front.
Cheers,
Wolfgang
