I don't have much IR pics that could be classified as 'Abstracts'... only these two and they don't seem to have much IR effects like those in other outdoor shots.

This morning, it struck me that by coincidence, they seem to represent 2 opposing states of the human condition, hence the title.

The inner circumference of its main stupa of the Pagoda of 10,000 Buddhas at Kong Meng San, which is lined with thousands (10,000?) of small Buddha statues/images as seen upwards from within the centre of the building.

Hi tomcat,

That is an interesting arrangement.

By this I mean an interesting choice of photo's leading to an interesting title.

I must say that I DO like the first photo (I think I remember where that shot orignated)

The second photo, while a good shot, it is interesting to know of what it is.

Hi Pablo,

The second pic is the inner wall of the large central Stupa as seen from the inside of this building in the Kong Meng San temple complex. It is hollow and lined with thousands of Buddha statues which in the collapsed view looked like the rings of bricks around the central spoke-shaped skylight at the top of the Stupa. Had to take this picture lying down flat on the floor of the prayer hall directly under it.
